So I have sales data by month for many years in a row. I want to consolidate 3 months at a time to get a quarterly sales basis... So I want to sum Jan, Feb, March and then April, May, June... etc.
The data is across a single row, A1=Jan'00 B1=Feb'00 C1=Mar'00.
Way down on the end of this row (at the end of 2012) I want to sum 3 cells at a time quickly to show quarterly basis for each year.
Can anybody come up with a way to do this?
=month(a1) will give you the month.
=year(a1) will give you the year
then you add those info in an pivot table.
Notice my main language is not English.

I'm not really sure what you mean...
I am currently trying to use Sum(Offset), but when I fill the formula right, I can only get the sum range to shift by one cell, not 3.
So the formula will return Sum(Jan,Feb,Mar), but then when I copy the formula for Q2 it returns Sum(Feb,Mar,Apr) - but I want it to return Sum(Apr,May,Jun)
