using vlookup on duplicate values to get the sum of both

    Hi ladies and Gents

I am currently busy with a material tracking sheet. The sheet tracks all the material from fabrication to being released from painters.

My problem is that in a summary sheet that I created, I used vlookup to get the exact value of the item number that was released.

    Focus on Item # 043-06016

this formula only gets the first value and not the 2nd value that was also released so that in my summary sheet i can get 2

    Please help.

    Hi,

The sumif formula wont work on what im trying to achieve.

The value that is in the grey column of painted material released is the value that was found using vlookup in the painted material released array.

All is well when the Item # 043-06016 with Nett qty of 2 were released at once on a release note.
but for instance 1 is being released today and the other tomorrow on 2 different release notes, it only feeds back the 1st number and not both therefore my summary sheet only shows 1 and not both.

How can I fix this or change it?

Did you get this solved? I would love to find out the solution since I am also running into the same issue.
