Are you saying that, what is the highest value for each Q (Q10, Q11, ... Q25), given a, b, c & d? If it is, can't you do it with a MAX function?

i.e. in cell C9 =MAX(C$12:C$15) and copy it across

    in c9: =INDEX($B$11:$B$16,MATCH(MAX(C$12:C$16),C$12:C$16,0),)
    then copy accross

Yes, I tried max but it gives the highest value in the resultant cell, but I want the option name...if a has the highest number then I would like the result to say "a", if b then it should say "b" instead of number...and so on...
