Tables - Trying to reverse answers

I am currently collecting data for my Dissertation. I am using an online survey tool which will only output answers as data. The questions I am asking are on a scale from 1 - 5. The scoring criteria however are from 5 - 1/ How can I swap all my 5's for 1's and 4's for 2's etc. I also have a second problem that is that some of the questions need reversing. IE they are currently in the correct format. I will hopefully have around 100 respondents when I am finished so doing this manually would be very time consuming. I am currently working on a sample of 5 to see if I can get it to work. If anyone can help I would be much obliged.

I have uploaded both the raw data with my current thinkings on it (Which are wrong) and a copy of the document I am working from. If anyone wants to take a peek I would be very greatfull.

with the samples you uploaded, I'm not really sure where your problems are... there is nothing saying/hilighting bad info
i suggest you re-examine the sample, and highlight the information you need changed, and a note to explain HOW it should be would help as well...to keep flipping back to the browser to see what you expect is a little aggravating, that said, I'll offer this as a possible solution:
    =6-'Your Value'
It probably doesn't meet your needs, but I cannot make sense of what you have uploaded

A picture may be worth a thousand words, BUT, a sample Workbook is worth a thousand screenshots!

    Hi Dredwolf,

Thanks for your suggestion, I think it may work. However some of the columns are correct as they are and some need the (6-) treatment but all need to end up in the same table so I can take an average. Is there a way I can autonate this or will I have to address each column individually?

    Cheers, Dan

What columns are correct? Why are they correct?...I can see any column with a 3 being correct, as 6-3=3, but other than that???...This is why I am asking for an updated workbook..YOU know some columns are correct and WHICH they are, BUT I do not

OK, so I have uploded a copy of the workbook with all of the correct data highlighted in Green.

I would like to setup a template that will autonate this process so that when I get a larger amount of data it will not take me forever

Re: Tables - Trying to reverse answers

OK, why are they correct and the others NOT correct?... I see you applied my suggestion, but what makes the incorrect cells incorrect(on bottom cells) or vice/versa...to automate a process, you need rules...so,what is the rule that determines the cells are wrong?
I'm not trying to be difficult, I want to give you a correct answer, the problem is you have not told me why some columns are RIGHT and why the others are WRONG!!...WHAT makes them right or wrong...I need something to work with...
When you applied my suggestion, the wrongs went right, but the rights went wrong, so we need a system to say whether the formula should be applied or use the existing value...

OK, so I have now included a further version of the workbook. This version includes the info I am trying to extract at the bottom. Assume an R column refers to the top table and a non R column refers to the bottom table. (All ones to be used are in green?

Some questions are reversed to try to make the survey more trustworthy. These are highlighted and listed.
