Help with match and offset funcitions together

    Hello all,

I have hard time figuring this thing out, because I haven't used excel in a quite long time and therefore some skills have been lost.

So in the first sheet I have cities in A and names on B, they are all but in a random order.
Then on sheet 2 i'd would have a funtion so, that when I write on C7 for example "city 1", it would bring all the names attached to that city only from the first sheet.

Please see the attached example. It would be kinda a filter, but the integrated filter is not enough because I have to do some other stuff with the sheet also.

I hope you can help me with this matter.

    Brg,

    Tuomas

See if something like this works:truohol.sol1.xls
A picture may be worth a thousand words, BUT, a sample Workbook is worth a thousand screenshots!
-Add a File - click advanced (next to quick post), scroll to manage attachments, click, select add files, click select files, select file, click upload, when file shows up at bottom left, click done (bottom right), click submit

Re: Help with match and offset funcitions together

    Thank you for reply!

Otherwise ok, but the city at the front of the name is not necessary and i actually need a bit more data than written in that example. These working solutions works for this very example, but i will have cells like A city, b age c $.
So is there anyhow maybe to copy the whole row of stuff, that includes the city name?

So the best would be, if there is not the city name at the front of the name and but instead just name, age and $. Short example as attachment.

I really appreciate your help, this almost did it already!

    Cheers,

    T
