Calculating frequency of unique texts within a month under multiple criteria

I need help in getting a formula that calculates the number of transactions in a month by company name without duplicate. If possible, number of transactions could be split into either cash or cheque.

Currently im using the formula =SUM(IF(FREQUENCY(MATCH(B2:B10,B2:B10,0),MATCH(B2:B10,B2:B10,0))>0,1)) which calculates the total number of transactions per month. However, its tedious as you have to manually count the number of cells in the month and change the formula according.

Do note the file attached is not the actual database but replicates the format of the real database.

Yes it can be done in many ways but please attach a sample workbook with expected output for better understanding of your data and the expected outcome

To Attach a File:

1. Click on Go Advanced
2. In the frame Attach Files you will see the button Manage Attachments
3. Click the button.
4. A new window will open titled Manage Attachments - Excel Forum.
5. Click the Browse... button to locate your file for uploading.
6. This will open a new window File Upload.
7. Once you have located the file to upload click the Open button. This window will close.
8. You are now back in the Manage Attachments - Excel Forum window.
9. Click the Upload button and wait until the file has uploaded.
10. Close the window and then click Submit.
