Formula to separate number from text

Hi

I am working with long columns of information that contains both numbers and text. An example is as follows: 00400NEW CAP REL COSTS-MVBLE EQUIP. I would like to separate the number 00400 from the remainder of the statement, ending up with 1 column of numbers and 1 column of text. I have attached a worksheet for your reference.

Thanks for replying so quickly. When I used text to columns the whole string moved. I must be doing something wrong.
