I am going to be selling some plants of different varieties. I am keeping track of who buys what quantity of plants in excel spreadsheets. I am also keeping track of what quantity of each plant I have on hand. What I would like to do is assign a spreadsheet to every customer that has a list of all of the varieties with a cell by each variety for the quantity that they purchased. I would then like to make what ever value is in the quantity purchased cell go to the spread sheet with my inventory and reduce the number of plants for that variety by the number that was purchased. I suppose if I really wanted to get fancy I could make the purchasers cell turn red if if the number in the inventory cell went negative of below a certain number but if I could just get it to keep track of my inventory without me having to remember to manually go in and change my inventory count I would be happy. Is there some way to do this?
