Move Name from one column to another using a formula

I have a list of names in Column A and I need to check if the name appears in Column E. If it does, then I want to add a formula in Column B, that pulls the entry in Column D across to Column B, thereby leaving the entry in Column D Blank, however, if the name in Column A does not appear in Column E, then the entry in Column D stays in Column D and nothing gets moved to Column B.

I've attached an example. In this, I've added a formula in Column C that allows me to see which entries are common to Column A and Column E, but ideally, I'd like to replace this column altogether by the formula in Column B which I don't know how to write, so that the process becomes automatic based on the matches, however for the purposes of demonstrating what I'm trying to achieve, Column C shows which entries would need to be pulled across from Column D to Column B (Yes) and which wouldn't (No).

If this can only be done using a macro, then that is okay as well, but would need to be based on the selected range.

I'm not really sure where to start and how to move entries from one cell and remove them from another in the same row...

    Many thanks

Actually, I should have said that the check is to see whether the names in Column E appear in Column A and not the other way round and if they do to pull the names across as detailed in the post above...

    Hi Ace_XL

That works perfectly, it is simple yet elegant and I don't think I would have worked that out despite it seeming so easy when you know how...

    Many thanks... brilliant!
