    date wise move of cell value of one column to another column

    hi frnds
    actually i want to move cell values of a column A to another column B with respect to C column the column C has date from 2002 to 2010 in it on daily bases day by day........the problem is that i have a data which is missing values in column A like 18,20,25 and 30 of January 2002(column C) has 2 3 0 1.1 now the task is how can i shift this value to column B in-front of date column C that 2 value automatically goes to date 18-jan-02 and 3 in-front of 20-jan-02.......
    please i need it hard

    From what I can tell from a picture, you could try this in C2:
    Formula: copy to clipboard

    The range $I$2:$J$25 may have to be adjusted, row 25 is all I could see in the pic

    hey twilightwolf!!!
    but its not working at all... it display #N/A.... please can u explain the failure em trying to dead but the formula is not adjusting
    the highlited table is for lookup, u bro got it??? and the value in column J is i like to move in column D where the date matches of column I and A
    please another suggestion from u is near nice to feel

    Maybe if you upload a sample workbook we can get it resolved..it's near impossible to guess based on a screenshot

    Try this in D2:
    Formula: copy to clipboard
    Please Login or Register  to view this content.

    Drag down as far as necessary, don't go to far, or you'll overwrite your existing data towards the bottom of the column

    In the attached, I have put the formula in column L (yellow highlighted) for comparision
