Using Index and Match together as a combination for vlookup in the opposite direction

Before I blow my brains out, can anyone please guide me a to a small piece of formuale that contains match and index that when used together functions as Vlookup in the opposite direction (right to left). Ive used this before, seen it before and now cant find one that works in the entire www.

    Thanks!

    Solved:

    =INDEX($A$1:$A$20,MATCH(L1,$C$1:$C$20,FALSE),1)
