Lookup function to return only part of the text of a cell

I am trying to create a field that will return only the first two letters of the text in a cell. For example, column A lists GG - AIRFARE. I want column B to populate with "GG" so we can track sales by salesperson's initials. I'm sure it's a very simple formula, but I'm having trouble finding it.

    Thanks!

Try placing this code into the second column.
