Data Validation List - Dependent on Adjacent Cell - Value from Unsorted List

I had a hard time coming up with a "simple" example of the type of filtering I want to do, but here it is.

The cells/table column/validation I am having a hard time with is the "location" in the 3rd table. I want the location to be limited by the choice of "owner" in the same table.

ie UoW should only show the Main Campus, Offsite West City Campus, Datacenter 1, Agricultural Research, and Testing Facilities in the dropdown. The difficulty is the fact that the list of locations is unsorted.

Also - not sure if it matters but the tables are on separate sheets in my real workbook.

Any ideas?

Thanks for the reply. I have checked out those links (along with others) and the issue is they all require you to have named tables - where as I have an unsorted list... any other ideas?

I have been playing with this - and it looks promising - but the range doesn't update...the same choices are available regardless of what you choose for the owner. Any ideas of why it isn't updating as per the first choice?

For which owner which list you want. Explain with full answer you expect with attachment.

I am not sure that it is possible - I want to choose an item from the first drop down and then have that choice impact what is available in the next drop down. However the content is a non sorted list of values so filtering what is available seems to be impossible? using just formulas... I am going to try to pursue a VBA solution at this time - I will update this thread if I figure it out.

If you can figure out how to do it that would be great as well.

In the event that anyone looks at this thread again...

I ended up making a userform and VBA to achieve my goal.

The following runs on a "change" value for a combo box.
