Delete values of duplicate rows only in specific columns

Good Morning,

I'm working on a huge spreadsheet that will show duplicate lines of clients' data. For each outstanding year there should be a duplicate line. My problem is that I do not need the values to be duplicated in all rows of all columns of the duplicated lines. I need the formula to check for duplicates in column E (duplicate rows 3.4.5) & (rows 6,7,8) and only keep data in the first row (row 3) and (row6) of column I.

Copy Column-J formula cells and and paste it as values and apply filter for Column-J and select Duplicate and delete the Duplicate rows

Hi,

Thank you very much. The formula works and I understand it. My problem is that I only need the data deleted in cells I4 & I5 and again in I7 & I8 and not the whole duplicate row. There are also hundreds of columns wherin the data is duplicated in which the duplicate data needs to be deleted. Apologies if I didn't expain my problem better. Hope you can help me?

Apply filter and Select those cells alone and press Alt+Semicolon to select visible cells alone and delete key to delete the contents.

Hi,

My apologies,I don't seem to understand your solution. I've copied a larger selection of the spreadsheet for you to see the columns I'm using. I only need the duplicate values to remain in the first of the dulpicate lines in the last three section of the spreadsheet. The second section (current budget) is the only rows and columns that I need all the data. The rest just the first duplicate line and delete the rest.
