Referencing data in multiple workbooks

Hello,

My company puts out a daily report that I would like to gather information from quickly and easily. The file name is always the same with just the date changing. Is there any way I could use excel to reference a workbook from a specific date? My current thinking is that I can somehow insert a separate cells text (a specific date) within the file name I am trying to pull data from. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you.
