    availability based on schedules spreadsheet

    Howdy.
I've read through the forum and I think I am either not asking the right question or I just haven't seen the right answer.
Basically I've got people scheduled to work all the time as the business is 24/7/365 - what I need to know is at a glance a way to see who is coming up available in the next couple of hours to send jobs their way, or who i have on the board at any given time. This is a really simplified version of what i was trying to accomplish.
My thought was to break the day down to half hour chunks, and each employee would have their own tab. then tab availability would be able to just be refreshed when needed showing who would be available at that time, and who would be available coming up.
I do have a master schedule, but it can be tricky to read for new CSRs and we have lot of employees at any given time.

any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

(even if its just pointing me in the right direction as to what articles to read!)

    thanks!

Re: availability based on schedules spreadsheet

    Hi -

Look at the attached spreadsheet. It's a little differently organized than the original post, but much easier to manage with Excel.

Basically you enter the date you are interested in and the start time and the formulas search each employee tab and return "x" if an employee is available at that time.

    Hope this helps.

I think this actually makes more sense on an ongoing basis than the way I was approaching it.
    thanks!
