    how to find average of a range excluding the zeros.

    how to find average of a range excluding the zeros. how can i find the average of D2:D10(7,4,6,0,5,0,3,8,0,9).i want to exclude the zeros.so the result should show the average of seven numbers. thanks

    =AVERAGEIF(D2:D11;"<>0")

    Thanks for the suggestion. it didnt work. worked with a slight modification. a comma did the trick. have a nice day.
