Referencing another sheet within a workbook

    I have the formula: ='Team Scores'!B184
Instead of showing the name that is in that cell, all I see is this same formula.
    Ideas?

Perhaps you have set the Tools...Options....View....Formulas option?

CTRL + T will show the formula instead of the result.

CTR: + T will show the result is there is a formula shown.

I was having that same problem today. Right Click the cell --> Format Cell --> General
Then click in the cell and press Enter

Thanks for the suggestions, but none of that has taken care of the problem.

Is there perhaps a label ' marker at the beginning.

Failing that I suggest you upload the workbook.

    Regards

The problem I'm referencing is on the Individual Scores sheet. It needs to pull data from Team Scores. It does for most, but not for a few.

Re: Referencing another sheet within a workbook

The problematic cells are formatted as TEXT.
They need to be formatted as General.
And the critical step is to RE-Enter the formula after changing the format to General.
