Changing the Drop-down Formula for a Range of Cells while Keeping the Values Constant

For a massive range of data, I need to change the drop-down formula from a direct call as it is now (something like "=OptionList") to an indirect call (something like "=Indirect(A4)". BUT, the hard part is that I am doing this for a few thousand cells in multiple columns, so I want to somehow keep all of the correct contents that are already there, while still changing the method in which the drop-downs will be called in the future. Is this possible?

    HI Sharkham,

    welcome to the forum.
so I want to somehow keep all of the correct contents that are already there, while still changing the method in which the drop-downs will be called in the future.
And is there any logic (criteria) using which we can tell Excel that these are correct contents ? thanks.
