Total of (x-character equals certain value) combined?

Hi,

This is a bit difficult to describe, but i'll do my best.

I have four columns, each of them represent different value. First column is 5 points, second column 4 points and so on. Each column can have no entries (empty), one entry (character "x") or several entries ("xx" or "xxxx"). If first column has "xxx" it means 3 x 5 points = 15 points in total.

I would need an automated way to calculate number of x characters in each column multiplied with column's value.

I've attached image to clarify.
For example on 2nd row column H/TOTAL should read 3 (column G value is 1 and there's "xxx" = 1x3).
On 4th row column H/TOTAL should read 20 (2x5 + 4 + 3 + 2 + 1)

I know this is complicated, but hopefully there's solution. I'm pretty newbie to more complex excel formulas...

Aaah of course! I'm at work and here I have FINNISH version... used to english version. I changed SUMPRODUCT to TULOJEN.SUMMA and LEN to PITUUS.
