Stop cell/formula editing in multiple sheet

New here so please bare with me....

I have a document (excel 2010) with multpile sheets. I need to do some cut and pasting in the first sheet but when I do the cells/formulas in the second sheet change which I don't want. Is there anyway to prevent this?

Well if the data in the second sheet is dependent on data in the first sheet, then by cut/paste you remove the relevant reference cells.. Drag the relevant cells instead, and you will preserve the references.
