Nested If Function, using 'AND' and 'OR' at the same time

    Hi guys

I have been stuck on this formula for hours now and it keeps getting more complicated the further i get. If anyone could help that would just be amazing. Firstly the problem. (comma represents new cell)
    Football results site

    date, TeamA,score,score,TeamB,,goals,YC,RD,sub on name,surname,sub off name,surname, minute ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,90
blank, blank, blank, blank, blank,, David ,Beckham,Gareth ,Bale, 78
blank, blank, blank, blank, blank,, player ,A ,Player ,B
blank, blank, blank, blank, blank,, player ,C ,Player ,D

    Mins played
    Gareth ,Bale IF statement
    footballhelp.xlsx

Basically im trying to do IF Gareth above=gareth in table AND bale above=bale in table, then it 90mins - (90-minutesubbed) otherwise 90, then repeated for sub 2 and sub 3.

I hope this makes some kind of sense, I think I have attached my file I think (first timer!!)
Obviously ask away if i've made no sense and thanks for reading

In the file you posted what would you like the results to show? I feel like there is some data missing since there is onyl two numbers. Is David Jackson one name ore two?

If you could point out just how you would like to see the outcome it would help.

Re: Nested If Function, using 'AND' and 'OR' at the same time

    Hi nemo74

David Jackson is Forename and Surname, so one name together, I want the data to tell me how many minutes each player has played in each game. Soif they haven't been subbed obviously they have played the whole 90 minutes, but if they have, ie name in 2 parts is on the sub list, then to minus the minute of substitution from 90 and minus from 90 (90 - (sub time-90), to tell me how many minutes played. This is so at end of the season I can see how many minutes each player played and minutes per goal. So I am looking for if whole name matches any of the subs made minus the time they missed from the 90 minutes that most players would have played.

Hope that clears it up and thank you for the quick reply

    Hi Jonathan,

Where are the minutes the subs played? how is it supposed to be displayed once done? Can you update your sample to show what you would like the results to be for your example? It would really help, since I want to help, but I feel like without more infor we are going to go back and forth. For example to look at your example you can put the following code in V6 and it does something:
