    help - formula in a dropdown list which wen copied to entire column will give diff val

    i have a dropdown list with one formula and a few constants, now i need to copy the list to entire column and wen i do so, the formula in drop down list needs to take values from corresponding cell and give different value in each row. i guess i need to set a range or something.

    hope i am clear
    please help asap

    Hi, niyatir27,

    remove the last line you entered without Data/Validation. Then go to Ribbon Edit and insert a List (with headers). From then on you will find the formulae and Data/Validation in each new entry line you have if you either use the Tabulator to advance or set the cursor movement to right in the options..

    i have done some editting in the file attached. what i require is column C's value in the dropdown list at column D.
    as in C1's value in D1's list, C2's value in list at D2 and so on. i have added the list using data validation and values in list are-

    I really donīt know if itīs possible with formulas - I only know how to code it in VBA.
