Help needed urgently, excel cells that function like ms project

Hey Guys

I have been racking my brain for the past few days on whether this is possible or not,
until i found this website and something similar to what my problem is,
and considering I'm not too great with excel the best I could do was to ask.

The similar solution I found :

The difference between that problem and mine is that I require days rather than hours.

I have a start date, duration of work and an end date already defined but I don't have a clue on how to map it in the cells.

Any help is greatly appreciated, please find attached an example of the document I'm working on.

Excel version: 2007 or 2010

Hi devvie

See the attached. I have changed the values in row H3:KY3 to dates and formatted as "d" (Without the quotes)
Then select H5:KY22, Home Tab > Conditional Formatting > New Rule > Use a formula to determine which cells to format > Then in the box: Format values where this formula is true, use: =AND(H$3>=$D5,H$3<=$F5). > Format as required.
