    Advanced Variable Transposing

    Hi Guys,

    I have attached a sample spreadsheet...

    basically I want to be able to have a sheet setup so I can dump raw data into it, it looks for parts that have duplicate locations, and then displays them on a horizontal row, rather then listed vertically.

    If it was for a small set of data I would just manually do it, but I am looking at 49,000+ sku/location combinations that I want to get down to unique sku (approx 30k)

    Any feedback or suggestions would be appreciated.

    Thanks AndyLitch.

    The only issue I have is if the parts share the same description it doesnt care what the product ID is.
    Ultimately it needs to go off product ID, not just the description.. the description can be vlookup to get the matching description for the part..

    see attached

    *edit*

    Such an idiot... looked into the macro and changed 1 value... presto it works...

    Hi Ian,

    Find the attached where I did a simple Pivot Table on the data. No VBA code needed. See if this helps. If you have a very large set of data you can filter the rows or columns too.

    @MarvinP

    I thought of using a Pivot, but with over 3500 locations worth of data that needs sorting... the pivot just wasnt a practicle use

    Am using AndyLitch's macro, and it works like a gem (now that i modified the lookup)
