Looking for Sumif function to pull from a dynamic column

Hi all - To simplify what I need, I have 14 columns on one page with numbers in each of the columns. First two columns are various and sometimes repeated account numbers and names, next 12 columns represent 12 months of data that relate to those particular accounts and names. I need to be able to sumif the Jan column and then be able to change a cell and have that sumif now automatically point to the Feb column, etc so the sumif works on column Feb instead of column Jan. I believe it may be dynamic column within a sumif formula (or some derivative thereof), but not sure. Any help would be appreciated.

Re: Looking for Sumif function to pull from a dynamic column

    Hello,

You can try this formula on F4
Please Login or Register to view this content.
And here is your sample file with the formula. Just change the month to test the formula.

Your sample file is a .xlsx file, meaning you used Excel 2007 and later to make the sample, so you should update your profile to reflect that because most forum members offer their suggestions basing on the version of Excel you are using.

    Hi mstell9605

As you uploaded a .xlsx file you can use the SUMIFS. Try the following in F4 on the "JE" Tab and copy down.
    Formula: copy to clipboard

NOTE: Ensure you enter the 2 comma's after the index array.

    Or the SUMPRODUCT.
