Roll multiple rows of text into one row

Often when copying and pasting text into Excel 2003 paragraphs and sentences spread over multiples rows of Excel.

It would be much nicer to keep them all in one cell, so I can then apply wrap text format to make everything look nice.

The attached file has the first three rows showing how I would like it to look, but I have thus far only achieved it by the tedious process of copying and pasting each row into the top cell.

In row 6 and below you can see the irritating way Excel pastes text into itself.

Desperate for some help, would greatly improve efficiency!

    Thank-you!

How will excel know when one paragraph is over and another has started?

Re: Roll multiple rows of text into one row

I understand that is the problem when copying and pasting something into excel, but what I would love to know is how to quickly fix the problem by putting all those rows of data into just one cell, without having to copy and paste each row separately into the first cell, one after the other, - a very slow process.

So if you have ten rows of text, what I need to know is how to roll them all up, one after the other, into the top cell?

Maybe using a concatenate function somehow?

Which doesnt seem to work beyond a couple of rows, or something better?

    Thanks again

The best solution would be via the text import wizard, which as far as I can tell, whilst allowing you to change the column width using break lines, there is no such option for rows unfortunately.
