Post answer to a specific cell

    Hi
I am trying to make a formula post the answer into a separate cell e.g
    A1 contains value
    B1 contains formula
C1 is where I want the result to be placed

The idea is that I can then base another formula on C1 that checks if anything exists in that cell or not.

    I hope that is clear.

    Hi,

You could use a change event on the cells. Why not include an 'if' eg. =IF(C1="",1,2) so C1 is tested if anything exists before doing its calulation?

You cannot change a cell with a formula in another cell without VBA
