Angry IsNumber Issue?

I have a formula that semi-works.
=SUMPRODUCT(--(ISNUMBER(FIND("x",C16:C21))),B16:B21)

it ONLY works if you enter a lowercase x in cells C16:C21

is there a way to make it work if there is ANY text whatsoever in those cells?

I'm building this to be stupid proof so i want to make it work if they put any letter in that cell, not just a lowercase x

thanks guys

use search instead of find, its not case-sensitive
1. Use code tags for VBA.
Your Code
(or use the # button)
2. If your question is resolved, mark it SOLVED using the thread tools
3. Click on the star if you think someone helped you

Re: IsNumber Issue?

SUMIF should also work

=SUMIF(C16:C21,"*x*",B16:B21)
Audere est facere
