    setting up a IF & TODAY formula to flag impending dates

    Hi guys,

    I am trying to set up a "flag" on excel to notify me when things are due, so that is a report is due within next 7 days text appears saying "WARNING DUE WITHIN 7 DAYS", then I can condition it to go red for a 7 day warning, yellow for a 14 days, etc.

    I have tried for several hours now and think my brain is fried, the formula below is what I got, but it doesnít seem to work right when I try different dates...... I think I am using my < > wrong and maybe I should be + the cell against the TODAY()

    I donít know, any help is greatly appreciated!

    =IF(TODAY()-F9<7,"WARNING DUE WITHIN 7 DAYS",IF(TODAY()-F9<14,"WARNING DUE WITHIN 14 DAYS",IF(TODAY()-F9<30,"DUE WITHIN 30 DAYS","LOW PRIORITY")))

    You need to put the due date - today rather than the way you have it.
