@Fotis: I think that's going to give you the first day of the month, not the first weekday.

First weekday of the month.
Assuming you mean the 'current' month based on today's date.
Try
=WORKDAY(TODAY()-DAY(TODAY()),1)

You're welcome. The interesting link did have a formula to determine the first weekday of the month but, looking at it, you have easier options above.

Select Thread Tools-> Mark thread as Solved. To undo, select Thread Tools-> Mark thread as Unsolved.
Or you can use this way:
How to mark a thread Solved
Go to the first post
Click edit
Click Go Advanced
Just below the word Title you will see a dropdown with the word No prefix.
Change to Solved
Click Save
