i need to find variance in excel 2007 can any1 pls help me?
i came across three formulas to find variance VAR,VARP,VARA nw im totaaly confussed..

im attachng a file pls look into it any1 and help me!!

in this file i have got 0.3 occuring 5 times with its particular scores ,0.7 occuring 5 times with its particular scores in a particular sheet for 1st speaker,likewise i have got 20 speakers how to caluclate variance pls help??

VARA accommodates numbers stored as text. Ignore that.

VAR vs VARP considers whether you are measuring the variance of a sample or the entire population. Absent any context in your post, I'd guess a sample, but consult a statistics text to decide.
