    =SUMPRODUCT(--(A2:A30>=--"5jun2013"),B2:B30)

    Try this...

    Dates in column A, values to sum in column B.

    D2 = 05/06/2013

    Then:

    =SUMPRODUCT(--(A2:A10>=D2),B2:B10)
