Conditional format a cell based on a result of a formula in another cell

I am trying to do a 3 color scale (Red Yellow Green) in cell g5 based on the results of h5 which shows the sum of 6 other cells as a percentage.

    Any help would be grateful.

    Hi Taiter,

Put the cursor on the G5... click on Conditional Formatting (Home tab)...

Choose Color Scales (start with the first one, then experiment with the others)...

Go back and click on Conditional Formatting, then Manage Rules..., edit Rule...

It's currently defaulted as Type: Lowest Value, Percentile (50), and Highest Value

You change these Types... and even choose Formula to create your own...

Look into Conditional Formatting and all the things that you can do with it...

Once you get started with this and are still having problems, come ask again with more specific questions...

    Hope this helps,
    Dennis
