count the occurance of a number in a column, within data parameters.

Hi! Pls help me to count the occurance of a number in the given column.

My data is in Sheet 1
COLUMN A
1,2,4
5,1,2
1,2,5


Start Date End Date
1june 13 2june 1

Result require in Sheet2
COLUMN A COLUMN B (RESULT)
1 =COUNTIFS('DN TRACKING'!$AL$4:$AL$1045746,"="&B5,'DN TRACKING'!$B$4:$B$1045746,">="&$B$2,'DN TRACKING'!$B$4:$B$1045746,"<="&$C$2)


I am using the above formulae, it is giving me result only if column A has only 1 number, it is not counting the numbers because it has comma. can you pls solve my problem

Thank you for your email.
In master, column E has Sr. but some entries has 2 sr.nos which are separated by a comma or &.
That is the problem, as if there is one sr. no I am able to get a count, but if there are more then 1 sr. no, it is not counting, my attached file has result also in sheet 2.
