Return penultimate value in a range

    Hi,

I know that to get the last value in a range you would do =INDEX($E$46:$E$50,COUNT($E$46:$E$50),1) but what I need is to identify if the last value in the range is greater than the value in the cell above it which I will do with an if statement, I can't work out how to get the penultimate value in the range though, can anybody help please?

    Thanks

    Soph

Yes! I was very nearly there, you know when you look at something for so long and you start to miss really obvious things?

    Thank you
