Function Error Message

I am doing a simple VLookup and I know is right because it has worked on the past.

=VLOOKUP([@[Storage Group Name]],SGProduct[#All],2,FALSE)

"Storage Group Name" is a Colum on a table

Result is to be Display in the last Colum of the same table.

"SGProduct" table has 2 colums "SGNames" and "ProductName"
I get a #N/A error if I add the False statement

I know the data matches exacly, not an issue.

If i take False out I get a SGProduct output from colum 2 but is always the same and is always the last entry n the table.

So all the results = "Financial Systems" I have multiple Products on that colum some repeat then selfs

Thx for the help

Okay I think I know what it is there is an empty space on the Storage Group Name items. Crap how can i make that modification so that it avoids looking at that blank space?

Maybe you have extra spaces in the middle or at the end of your names. Try it like this:

Formula: copy to clipboard

Or, do as Jonmo suggests and attach a sample workbook.

Hope this helps.

Hey I realize that SG Product is the one with the space in front

So i did this and didn't work

=VLOOKUP([@[Storage Group Name]),TRIM(SGProduct[#All]),2,FALSE)

Re: Function Error Message

You need to get rid of the extra spaces.

You could use the =TRIM(A1) function in an available column and fill down all the way.
Then copy those formulas and paste special values over the top of the original.

OK maybe a dumb question, but what's with the @ in the formulas? is that a 2010 thing, kinda reminds me of quattro pro syntax?
1. Use code tags for VBA.
Your Code
(or use the # button)
