i need sorting out my recipes

    Hay there

As my title says i'm a bartender in need of a little help. I'm not bad on excel but my latest idea has got me stuck. PLEASE HELP!!!

So here's the idea of what i want to do.

I'd like to have a list of all my ingredients in relevant sections on sheet 1
    e.g

    fruit:
    apple $2.99
    Pears $4.99
    Oranges $6.99

    Rum:
    Sailor Jerry $22.99
    Havana club 3yr $32.99
    Havana club 7yr $30.99

    Vodka:
    Finlandia $21.99

    etc, etc, etc

And on sheet 2+ i'm wanting to put in my recipes in sections like CLASSICS, PRE DINNER, AFTER DINNER, etc, etc.

Sheet 2+ is easy to have the formulas workout the costs, selling price, GP, etc, etc.

But what i'm really bored of doing is rewriting out APPLE, SAILOR JERRY, HAVANA CLUB, etc, etc.

So i'd like to use sheet 1 as the master database with prices and only have to start typing the product name and it pop up like google does when you search the web.

So the formulas i'm looking for is the one to put in Sheet 1 to link to the other pages & the formula that searches Sheet 1 for the desired product.

Please can someone help me as i'm totally stuck and really need to get this sorted before i throw my Mac out the window:-(

Ok i have attached a sample file.

On sheet 1 named INGREDIENTS you have a list of fruits and on sheet 2 named CLASSICS you have the spec for a cocktail.
All that is missing is the lemon.

I know i can link them up by using = and highlight the lemon cell from sheet one and press enter and the cells will be linked.
but my desire is to have a formula so all i need to do is start typing the word LEMON in the cell below MARASCHINO and have the lemon price come in to the recipe i;m filling out.

Does this make sense to you?
