    Question Conditional Formatting for 2 condition

    Hi guys!

    The scenario:

    Column G is my start time while Column H is my end time.
    Column I is the difference between Column G and H in [h]:mm format.
    The expected time would be in column E.

    What I want to do is that, is the time in column I is smaller or equal than column E, it would be colour 1.
    If the time in column I is greater than column E, it would be colour 2.

    Example,
    The time difference for row 1 is 0:30 (30mins) while in row 2 is 0:40.
    The expected time for both rows are 0:30.
    Hence, the cell I1 would be colour 1 while I2 would be colour 2.

    Would it be possible to make it into a single CF rather than CF twice?
    Please make it easy for me to understand! Limit?!

    Re: Conditional Formatting for 2 condition

    In Conditional Formatting rules.

    =$i2>$e2

    $i2<=$e2

    How can you use Conditional Formating.

    --In Excel 2007 and 2010, Conditional Formatting is in the Styles group on the Home tab. In Excel 2003, Conditional Formatting is on the Format menu. See here how you can work using CF.
    Regards

    Fotis.

    Hi Fotis,

    Does that means that I need to create two FC in a single cell?

    Re: Conditional Formatting for 2 condition

    Just wondering,
    if the time is larger than the target, it would be colour 1.
    If it is smaller than the target, it would be another colour.

    However, what if the time equals to the target time? Would it have any colour? Or do I need to make a third FC?
    Is it possible to sort of... "combine" the FC into one FC?

    Just why in the second formula we use this(the equal sign)..

    =$i2<=$e2
