Use Vlookup to take an average between 2 dates

Here is what I am looking to do:

[Location] [Date 1] [Date 2] [Average Production between dates]

    Production Tab:

    [Location] [Month] [Average Daily Production]

I need a formula to pull the average production between 2 dates from the production tab. Date 1 and Date 2 could have 6 months between them or 1.5 months etc.

    use a pivot table. http://spreadsheets.about.com/od/dat...ivot_table.htm
My approach to providing help is to help you to help yourself. So my answers won't always solve your problem, but hopefully you can learn enough to solve the problem yourself and be more self sufficient for the experience.

The value going into that cell will be used for other formulas in the sheet
