    Max Date from table based on two criteria

    Hi

    I would like to a formula in column D (Complete Date, Status Tab) based on latest date from column D (latest Est' Date) from tab sheet 'date' based on sub-system and Discipline in the Status tab

    I have Sub system in Tab sheet Status that I want to check along with the discipline and look these up in TAB sheet 'date' to find the latest date in the Latest est Date.

    attached is Spread-sheet Example Date max. I am using Excel 2010.

    lil bit confused on MAX & Latest..

    however.. try this..

    and confirm.. if you are looking for MAX.. not the last/latest date..
