    Data validation... Linking a formula from a drop down slection to another cell!

    Hey All,

    Sorry if this is a simple query but I am a fairly basic Excel user....

    Well basically I have created a data validation a list of products and each one has an assigned weight.

    What i am now trying to create is a formula that will select the data for each product weight when that product is selected from a drop down menu.

    I have created a simple list that has the weight at the side of the product; I wondered if it was an IF formula but I am pretty lost.

    Any help would be really appreciated.

    Please attach a sample workbook with enough data to make it clear what is needed. Include a BEFORE sheet and an AFTER sheet in the workbook if needed to show the process you're trying to complete or automate. Make sure your desired results are demonstrated, mock them up manually if needed. Remember to desensitize the data.

    Click on GO ADVANCED and use the paperclip icon to open the upload window.

    I have attached the basic work book.

    In essence, when someone selects CR 305SU+ in the green code row that in the unit weight cell below 16kg appears as shown on the data sheet!
