Lookup multiple column values that match search criteria and return row labels in one cel

Hi Guys. I don't know if this possible or not and I don't know a lot about excel so I am a bit confused where to start. I've looked at these array calculations that people use here, but am unsure as to whether they will work with the text in my sheets cells and would appreciate any pointers to the correct functions to use.

I have a an excel 2013 sheet below, the factor scores are summed from a data entry sheet and the scores are then calculated with different formulas in each cell like this =IF($C5<39,"40---39",IF(($C5<41),"40-X-39",IF(($C5>40),"40---39"))). There can only be one x in a row and this donates the individuals score on that factor. I don't know if this is the correct way of looking up Factor scores that fall in a number range, but it gives the summary sheet that I need to print and genuinely saves time scoring this assessment.

What I would like to do is lookup all the scores in a column that have an X in them and then list the row titles in one cell. For example with the data reported in the sheet below could I do a lookup formula in one cell that would return for example.

"Person X had a definite difference more than others for C.Vestibular Processing, E. Multisensory Processing and F. Oral Sensory Processing."

If this is possible would it be possible to extend the formula to return row labels for those that have an X in the probable OR definite difference more than others columns. I don't know if this makes sense, but what I am trying to do is save time and reduce human error extracting summary data from the sheet when reports are written.

Any suggestions would be appreciated. Many thanks.

Please post an excel file with some data and some examples of what the result should be. You have a pretty long story and only an image to illustrate, it's hard to help you this way.
When I say semicolon, u say comma!

Many thanks for reply. File attached. What I am trying to do is somewhat automate the report tab on the attached sheet to reduce human error when extracting data from the sheet. This then gets pasted to word so that the report can be completed. So for example, on the attached sheet I would input a formula in one cell and output the following based on the data in the Section Summary.

"Test had a definite difference more than others for C.Vestibular Processing, E. Multisensory Processing and F. Oral Sensory Processing."

I don't know if this makes any more sense, but I don't really have any technical language in this area,

That's a pretty huge file you've got there
Can you explain exactly which data (sheets, cells, calculations) should result in the sentence that you wrote down?

    That was quick

Ok, from the sheet titled summaries, range b3 to i18, there are calculated fields in column I and I am interested in those that have an X in them (that is what donates the persons score for that factor"). So the formula would have the following source:

Example text I want to output:
"Test had a definite difference more than others for C.Vestibular Processing, E. Multisensory Processing and F. Oral Sensory Processing."

Text Source cell references for example
    "=+'Data Entry'!N38 & " had a definite difference more than others for" +Summaries!I7 report Summaries!B7 & ", "+Summaries!I9 report Summaries!B9 & ", and" +Summaries!I10 report Summaries!B10 & "."

Does this make any sense? I don't know if this is even possible. Also if it is possible how difficult would it be to see if there was an X in "column H OR I" and list that row label.

    Cheers D

    Fixed it.

I have filled one extra column (K5-18 in sheet Summaries) with neccessary data. Then there's the second processing step in K19 and the final result is in K20.

For your second question (X in "column H OR I") could you be more specific about what results you want?

Mate your are an absolute star! This has been giving me a headache because I knew it was possible, but couldn't work out how to do it.

I think you've already given me the answer to my second question because I am looking for an X in column H or I, I just copy your If statement and nest it with the other one to test column H. That way I can use your formulas as is and it will report what I need.

    Thanks for this
