How to prevent link window from opening up when replacing text in formulas in Excel 2010

    Hi All,

I am trying to print out formulas with just the workbook names without the path that have been linked, however when I do a search and replace of the formula to remove the folder path, a window keeps opening up asking me to update the linked workbook, which is not what I want to do.

For example the current formula has

    =VLOOKUP(A16,'P:\Planning\Valuations\Erica\Sponsor Profitability\Sponsor Profitability Working Copies\[Sponsor Profitability 1.xls]Tier'!$A$7:$B$66,2,FALSE)

But I only want to see

    =VLOOKUP(A16,'[Sponsor Profitability 1.xls]Tier'!$A$7:$B$66,2,FALSE)

When I do a search and replace of the folder path P:\Planning\Valuations\Erica\Sponsor Profitability\Sponsor Profitability Working Copies\ the link window opens up.

    See attachment

I tried to disable any prompts through Options ==> Advanced ==> General section, however that is only during the inital opening of the workbook.

I also converted all cells to text format, but with the "=" sign, excel still interprets as a formula.

    Thanks,

After the = put "= and then put another " at the very end.

The whole thing will display as text.
