Vlookup to find one value in a cell that has multiple values

    Hi,

I am looking for help with a problem I am having. I have a sheet (list) that contains multiple values in column A, along with coresponding values in the rest of the columns. Is there a way to put multiple numbers in cell (EX A12) and have a vlookup search for just one specific number in column A and return the values in the other columns?
The sheets marked press 1-3 is where I have the vlookup formulas to pull the data from the "list" tab. If I put the numbers from column A (list), into column A on the Press 1-3 tabs then the rest fills itself in.

I hope this is not too confusing to figure out. Right now I work off a list of about 900 values and I would like to see if there is a way to shorten this by putting duplicate GRN numbers into on cell and pull from those.

    Thanks,

What is wrong with your current methodology?

Will Vlookups not accompliosh what you are looking for?

No, I can only get the vlookup to work if there is only one number per cell. I would like to be able to put multiple numbers in a cell and still have the vlookup find a specific number.

    For what purpose?
What is the benefit of having multiple numbers in one cell vs having multiple input cells?

I typically like to keep things as simple as possible with helper cells and columns as it makes it mcuh easier to audit in the future or for someone other than myself

I was looking to just try and combine items that run the same colors. This way I would not have a spreadsheet that has the same job/colors that is too big. Everything right now is looked up by the grn number. These numbers will change with a graphics change but the colors always stay the same.
