    How to color a row when one of its specific cells = value?

    Hello everyone,

    My question is pretty much on the descriptive title.

    Say a worksheet with many columns and rows and I want to color the row in the following manner:

    - Red if the 4th cell for that row has "submarine" written on it.
    - Blue if the 8th cell for that row has "frog" written on it.

    They are mutually exclusive so a scenario where both happen doesn't apply.

    This is conditional formatting.

    click on home
    conditional formats
    manage rules to view and amend the rules.
