    Re: Conditional Formatting

I'm sorry, I don't understand your requirement ... I know you've said which boxes need to change colour but I don't know what figures you are comparing.

Please provide some samples that indicate what values in sign-on, sign-off get which colours and why.

    Thanks, TMS

    Re: Conditional Formatting

Here is a shaded version. So I am in control of people checking in, signing in and out etc. When someone calls me on their shift start, i would like to have a button, drop down box or something like that to signify it, then they check in every hour and i would like to check it off. If I dont check it off by the time shown above it on the top row, it would shade red until they do check in. Am i making sense, i dont know if im explaining very well, sorry

    example CF.xlsx

    Re: Conditional Formatting

I'm afraid I am still struggling to understand your requirements. Unfortunately, for you (I guess), I am going on holiday tomorrow so I can't run with this.

I have, however, asked for some support: Call in the Cavalry - 2013 onwards

I am still unsure what you actually have
i would like to have a button, drop down box or something like that to signify it
and if this needs developing. I also still don't understand the steps you go through for an individual ... which cell do you input something for that individual, which cells turn green, or red, or stay green or red.

Even with the example, I have no idea why a jacko has sign in and sign out times and all the cells on his/her row are yellow. Yet ll cool j has a whole row of green except 08:00 which is red.

May be just me but I am lost. Sorry.

I hope one of the other guys can offer you some help. Failing that, bump the thread to take it back to the top of the list.

    Regards, TMS

    Re: Conditional Formatting

Sorry, the yellow was just to emphasise where the cells were, theyre not yellow for a reason. Basically i want it so when someone signs on or checks in i click on something (a button, the cell containing the time, anything else you can think of that would be easier) and if they dont check in or sign on/sign off by the time above the cell turns red
