Getpivotdata & dates

I have a pivot table and I want to pull data using the getpivotdata formula. The pivot table has an account field, transaction date field and an amount field. I want to get the total amount for a particular account for any one week period. If I have a week beginning date on my report page, what is the syntax using getpivotdata for a 7 day period. Any help would be appreciated. Many thanks.

Sorry , I have fixed my problem by using sumifs. Thanks for any who are looking at this problem
