Question HOw do I chighlite some cells using an if then?

Situation, I have a spreadsheet. And it has 150 rows by 75 columns.

IF I want cells A4 to AJ4 highlighted in green when A2 becomes a value less than 0, how can I incorporate that into an if then statement?

Conditional formatting is not helping as I can not figure out how to name particular cells in the conditional boxes. Running Home Office 2010

    Thanks for the help.

    Try this...

Select the *entire* range A4:AJ4 starting from cell A4.
Cell A4 will be the active cell. The active cell is the
one cell in the selected range that is not shaded. The
formula will be relative to the active cell.

    Goto the Home tab>Conditional Formatting>
    Manage rules>New rule>Use a formula to determine
    which cells to format

Enter this formula in the box below:

    =$A$2<0

    Click the Format button
    Select the desired style(s)
    OK out
