Formula that will highlighting rows using conditioning formatting

    Hi there,

Is there a formula that will highlighting rows using conditioning formatting?
    that`s my example:

    A1 Mon
    A2 Tue
    A3 Wed
    A4 Thu
    A5 Fri
    A6 Sat
    A7 Sun

    A8 Mon
    A9 Tue
    A10 Wed
    A11Thu
    A12Fri
    A13Sat
    A14Sun

I want to set as a area A1:A14 and if "Sat" is in to highlight the row that contain this day namely A13 and A6.

    Thank u in advance

hi ExcelBG. select the range you want to apply to (say from A2:A14)
go to Home -> Conditional Formatting -> New Rule -> Use a formula to determine which cells to format -> Format values where this formula is true:
    =$A1="Sat"

this method can allow you to highlight more than 1 column. maybe you want to highlight A6:F6 for eg. the easier method if you don't need so would be to select the same cells & go to Home -> Conditional Formatting -> Highlight Cell Rules -> Equal to: Sat

Thanks, if you have clicked on the * and added our rep.

Select the range and in CF use cell value = "Sat" and apply the desired formatting

Sixthsense, thank u for `re advice. But the thing that I want to do is not to highlight only the cell that contains eg "Sat" I want to highlight the entire row...
    For instance:

I have Sat in A1...so I want to highlight not only A1 but the entire row eg A1 to A15

    In other words....

If the row contains "Sat" than highlight the row

Then make use of the formula suggestion provided by benishiryo but ensure that you have selected those 15 columns (1 to 15) before applying the CF.
